Who I Work With:

I work with students of various ages and levels of subject familiarity who are seeking deeper understanding in math, science, and Spanish.

Typical students include those in honors and AP classes, students rebuilding confidence after a tough semester, college students tackling challenging STEM courses like Evolution or Genetics, students preparing for the GRE or MCAT, ACT, SAT, etc., and adult students going back to school after a career shift.

Subjects:

Biology (all levels), Chemistry (Up to advanced organic), intro Physics, Statistics, Algebra I/II, Geometry, Spanish IV

Format:

Google Meet is easy and free. I am happy to record sessions for anyone for no additional cost.

A typical session length is one hour, but we can do longer if desired.

Students typically meet with me two to four times per week - it is highly individualized and we will schedule based on speicic needs of each student.

How Sessions Work:

Sessions are 60 minutes long and are typically held online via Google Meet.

Each session is personalized to the student’s needs, whether that means homework support, reviewing difficult concepts, preparing for a test, or building long-term study skills.

After booking, students can share what they’re working on so we can make the most of our time together.

About Katie

I hold a Master of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology (pre-professional focus) with minors in Spanish and Psychology.

I have nearly two decades of tutoring and teaching experience. mentorship, and personalized curriculum design.

My goal is not just to help students get through one assignment (though we certainly will get through your assignments), but to help them understand the material well enough to feel more confident and independent. Integrating knowledge supercedes cramming for a quick grade fix.

Emotional safety is critical, in my opinion, for sessions that foster an enviorinment for creatvie problem solving and personal growth. I promote healthy communication, understanding psychological underpinnings of learning difficulties, and having a designated safe space that is a fertile environment for growth.

I believe good tutoring should be supportive, encouraging, and tailored to the way each student learns best.

Session Details:

Private tutoring sessions are currently $60-$120 per hour.

Cancellations or reschedules require at least 24 hours’ notice; late cancellations and no-shows are charged in full.

Availability is limited, so booking in advance is recommended.
